I once worked in a company that was real involved in the community. Employees were encouraged to participate in community service. The firm would provide economic incentives for people that wanted to form involved in the community. Employees were eligible to get paid their normal day salary for doing community service once a month. Maslows pecking order of needs model help me understand the things that motivated people and me. When I worked in a unsettled shelter I realized the importance of first order need of phy siological. These poor people were very motivated when they received a meal from the shelter. The third need in Maslows pyramid is social. When I was working for a Saudi Airline I was motivated by my manager due to the accompaniment that we talked about different things with each other.Corporate social responsibility is a strategy that must be implemented in order to comply with the expectation of the customers. Back in the 1990s the apparel ogre Nike Corporation got involved in some bad business practices. The firm established several sweetshops in developing countries. A sweetshop can be defined as a business establishment that makes its employees work under harsh and hazardous conditions and pays only minimal wages that are barely enough for the employee to suitable its physiological needs (Businessdictionary, 2010). When the scandal was reveal to the general public Nike took a big hit. The firm confused millions of dollars in revenue due to the bad press it received in the a ftermath.Despite the rotten apples that constitute in the corporate world there are many companies that
